Hi Stacy,
Forgive me for asking, but are you real?
Lately I've been spending a lot of time surfing through Cogeyed's various groups. In my travels, it's occurred to me that most of our Cogeyed users aren't utilizing the Groups to their full potential. I thought it prudent for me to remind everyone of this feature as those who aren't using them are missing out! Cogeyed Groups are open to your creativity and desires. The general idea is that you can create / join a body of like minded riders and setup a sub-community where you can be assured to always find content pertinent to you.
Two current examples of Cogeyed Groups that are flourishing are as follows:
Fredericton Dirt Zombies: This group consists of intermediate to elite cross country riders in the greater Fredericton area. Virtually every day plans are made for rides, sometimes group members have options for rides on any given day! In addition to group ride plans, trail conditions are also discussed. Fredericton offers a multitude of trails and this group is an invaluable resource to keep in touch with what locations need work and what locations are ready to rip! If you're a cross country rider in Fredericton, then you need to join this group.
Anti-Social Bastards Riding Club: These guys aren't anti-social at all! Instead, they are a group of people who for whatever reason thoroughly enjoy their time alone on the bike. What makes this group particularly interesting to me is that some of the group's big players are grizzled veteran riders and trail builders who unwind at the end of the day by writing about their experiences on the roads and trails. These guys have a lot to share, and subsequently we have a lot to learn about all aspects of cycling from building to enjoying.
At this point, if you haven't already indulged in the Cogeyed Groups that suit your fancy, you might be wondering why this kind of thing can't be encompassed by the user forum. There are plenty of reasons, but the basic notion that having a sub-forum for every would be group would me a mess! And further, having a group enables a degree of privacy that otherwise wouldn't be available.
Do embrace the groups! You won't be disappointed.
Hi Stacy,
Forgive me for asking, but are you real?
stacy ....is your last name really brew? wonder how many pickup lines you heard from that ...hehehehe....
anyhew... i dont use groups... confusing and does not update on my " VIEW NEW POSTS" clicker either.....However the on going "Ward mt" thread is wicked...
ps my head is big but hollow... YEP!!
BREWS ON STACY.!!!!!! ;)
VW, your missing out. The FDZ group is a hub for Freddy riders. So much communication is simplified. I'm the type of guy who checks my email/group forum updates way more than my voice mail, though.
Consider giving it another shot.
Surfing the groups isn't really that effective... but following one that you're interested in, like Josh said, is really worth it.
I used to get emails with new posts in my groups, but it stopped on November 25. Any reason for this?
It had to do with our problem last week. We'll see if we can get those going again.
Hi, O9Man.
Of course I am real.
Good stuff!
How did you hear about Cogeyed? (I like hearing where our new users come from.)
.../|\...( he is a stalker... see his profile picture it screams peeping tom....)
seriously though... welcome aboard..
best of luck with your paper.
got any questions , just ask.
we dont bite... but we really are quite a sarcastic bunch.
:)
@09Man: Saw your site when I was doing my research (Google search).
@vwcabrio82: Thank you. You're so sweet.
A Google search? Oh, do tell me the keywords!
keywords? well I searched for "community for bikers". is that it?
I don't know! I was just wondering how you found the site. 'Community for bikers' didn't show me much close to cogeyed.com...
Oh well. What kind of riding do you do and where are you living? I'd be happy to put you in contact with the right people so you can find the best trail systems. It's going to freeze this weekend, things should be great for riding! (Unfortunately our trail database has filed all of our trail info away temporarily.)
I'm pleased to say that after way too long messing around in databases, I finally found the source of the problems with group pages. All of the data entered is still there but it shows now, too!
Thanks for your patience as we continue to work through a series of super awesome things.
cheers,
adam
good job Mr Shore.
I have noticed this also. most people use the MTB forum for all their posts.
I know of one group that was not working for a long time it will probably take a while for people to see that there is some activity even if it is just me contributing.
What bothers me: I started a thread "Winter trail conditions " which should be good until spring, Then that thread was trumped (bumped) with a new thread that is good for a week.
I realize that the new thread is likely a mistake, but it also looks like the thread was edited with an apology when I think It should have been deleted.
Then reposted in the existing thread.
The Ride forum is not sorted by dates. maybe when that is fixed people will start to use that again.
Oh! That's great! Thank you for post! Awesome! And one more thing:If you will have some free time, you can find many goods for yourself here - That's just about custom paper
Amaze! I have been looking bing for hours because of this and i also in the end think it is in this article! Mayb I recommend you something helps me all the time? Here's it custom actuators
I think I am liking the Anti-Social Bastards Riding Club. Interesting. And maybe I can learn a lot from them especially as to where I can find unique and beautiful trails to follow. I am currently working for an essay writing service. I can also get ideas for my topics there. Thank you.
